What ERP do UAE restaurants, cloud kitchens and hotels use to control food cost?

Restaurants, cafés, cloud kitchens and hotels in the UAE use ERP to link POS sales with recipes, purchasing, central kitchen production and accounting, so food cost is measured rather than estimated. A suitable setup costs dishes from live ingredient prices, tracks stock per outlet, reconciles delivery app orders to finance and applies 5% VAT on every sale, integrating an existing POS or hotel PMS where needed.

  • Recipes and sub-recipes are held as bills of materials, including yields and wastage.
  • Central kitchen batches transfer to outlets with cost carried through to each location.
  • Delivery platform orders can be reconciled to finance instead of being matched by hand.
  • An existing specialist POS or hotel property management system can be integrated rather than replaced.

From the kitchen to the profit and loss

Food and beverage in the UAE is competitive and margins are thin. A café group in Dubai, a cloud kitchen running several virtual brands, or a hotel with restaurants and banqueting all face the same questions: what does each dish really cost, where is stock going, and which outlet or channel is actually profitable?

Answering that means connecting the POS, recipes, purchasing, central kitchen production and accounting. When these sit in separate tools, food cost is estimated rather than measured, and orders from delivery apps have to be reconciled by hand.

We help restaurants, cafés, bakeries, cloud kitchens, caterers and hotels implement ERP that links sales to stock consumption and supplier costs. Where you already use a specialist POS or hotel property management system, we integrate it rather than forcing a change.

What the system covers

ERP capabilities for food and hospitality businesses

These modules tackle the everyday cost and control issues in F&B.

Restaurant POS

Take orders at the counter, table or kiosk, split bills, and handle dine-in, takeaway and delivery. Sales post to inventory and accounts automatically.

Recipes and BOM costing

Define recipes and sub-recipes as bills of materials, including yields and wastage. Dish cost updates as ingredient prices change, so menu pricing decisions are based on real numbers.

Central kitchen

Plan production of sauces, doughs and prepared items, record batches, and transfer them to outlets with cost carried through to each location.

Multi-outlet inventory

Track stock per outlet, set par levels, run stock counts, and compare theoretical usage against actual to spot wastage or loss.

Delivery platform integration

Bring orders from delivery apps such as Talabat, Deliveroo and Careem into the system through available integrations or middleware, then reconcile commissions and payouts against sales.

VAT and finance

Issue VAT-compliant receipts and tax invoices, handle service charges and municipality fees where they apply, and prepare figures for your FTA VAT return.

Questions to answer before choosing an F&B ERP

Questions to answer before choosing an F&B ERP

Working through these early saves rework later.

  • Will you keep your current POS or move to the ERP's POS?
  • How many outlets, brands and legal entities need separate reporting?
  • Which delivery platforms do you use, and how are their payouts settled?
  • Do you run a central kitchen or commissary?
  • How often do you count stock, and who approves variances?
  • Do hotel outlets need to connect to a property management system?
  • Which supplier price changes should update recipe costs automatically?

Hospitality ERP: common questions

Ask an Expert
What is the best ERP for restaurants in Dubai?

There is no single best option. Odoo is popular because its POS, inventory, recipes and accounting sit in one platform. Zoho suits smaller groups that pair it with a specialist POS. ERPNext offers strong inventory and manufacturing at a lower license cost. We recommend based on outlet count, existing POS and budget.

Can the ERP integrate with Talabat, Deliveroo or Careem?

Delivery orders can usually be brought in through the platform's partner integrations, an aggregator tool or custom middleware, depending on what each platform makes available to your account. We assess the options during discovery and set up reconciliation of commissions and payouts in finance.

How does recipe costing work in an ERP?

Each menu item is defined as a recipe listing ingredients, quantities and expected yield. When the item is sold, the ERP deducts ingredients from stock and calculates cost using current purchase prices. Comparing this theoretical usage with actual counts shows where wastage or over-portioning is happening.

Can we keep our existing POS?

Yes, in many cases. If your POS has an API or export, we can push sales summaries or item-level data into the ERP for inventory and accounting. If your POS is limited or outdated, moving to the ERP's own POS can simplify things.

Does the system handle VAT on restaurant bills?

Yes. The POS and ERP apply the 5% UAE VAT and print tax invoices or simplified receipts with your TRN. Other charges such as service charges or emirate-specific fees are configured according to your setup and your tax advisor's guidance.
