What does Odoo Enterprise include compared with Community in the UAE?

Odoo Enterprise is the paid, per-user subscription edition of Odoo. Compared with Community, it adds full accounting, Payroll with UAE localisation, Documents, Sign, Studio, Helpdesk, Field Service, barcode operations and official mobile apps, plus Odoo's functional support and upgrade service. UAE businesses can run it on Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or their own servers, and buy it directly or through a partner.

  • Odoo Enterprise is billed per internal user; portal customers and suppliers need no paid licence.
  • Odoo publishes prices by country and currency, and they change from time to time.
  • Custom Python modules require Odoo.sh or on-premise hosting rather than standard Odoo Online.
  • If an Enterprise subscription lapses, data can be exported but support and upgrades stop.

What Odoo Enterprise means for a UAE business

Odoo Enterprise in the UAE is the paid edition of Odoo, sold as a subscription billed per internal user. It runs on the same core as the free Community edition and adds a layer of apps and services on top: full accounting with financial reports and bank reconciliation, the Payroll app with a UAE localization, Documents, Sign, Studio, Helpdesk, Field Service, Planning, Knowledge, barcode operations and the official mobile apps.

Just as important is what sits around the code. An Enterprise subscription includes access to Odoo's functional support, bug fixes and the upgrade service that migrates your standard data to each new major version. For a UAE finance team that does not want to think about servers or version jumps, that service is often the deciding factor.

As an Odoo Official Partner in Dubai, we sell and implement Enterprise for clients across the seven emirates. This page focuses on the edition itself and its hosting choices. For a line-by-line view of plans and billing, see our Odoo ERP pricing guide.

Odoo Enterprise hosting options compared

Where Enterprise runs affects what you can customize, who handles upgrades and which plan you need. These are the three routes UAE clients choose between.

Enterprise apps UAE companies use most

These Enterprise-only features come up in nearly every UAE project we scope. If you need two or more, Community rarely makes sense.

  • Full Accounting with VAT reports, bank reconciliation, deferred revenue and assets
  • Payroll with UAE salary rules, gratuity accruals and a WPS salary file to validate with your bank
  • Documents for vendor bill capture and employee document tracking
  • Sign for contracts, offer letters and delivery confirmations
  • Studio for adding fields, views and simple automations without code
  • Helpdesk and Field Service for after-sales and maintenance teams
  • Barcode app for warehouse receipts, picking and stock counts
  • Multi-company accounting and reporting for groups with mainland and free zone entities
  • Official mobile apps for sales staff and technicians
How It Works

How to choose your Odoo Enterprise setup

We use these steps to settle the plan, hosting and scope before any configuration starts.

01

Count internal users honestly

List every person who will log in to do work, not just view a portal. Shared logins break audit trails and Odoo's terms, so plan one user per person.

02

Decide whether you need custom code

If configuration and Studio cover your processes, Odoo Online keeps things simple. If you need custom Python modules or third-party apps from the Odoo Apps store, you need Odoo.sh or on-premise.

03

Check entity structure

Groups with a mainland LLC and a free zone company, or branches in several emirates, often need multi-company, which sits on the Custom plan.

04

Review data residency

Most private-sector firms are comfortable with Odoo's cloud. Government-linked or regulated clients sometimes require UAE hosting, which points to on-premise or a local cloud.

05

Agree the rollout scope

Pick the apps for phase one and the ones that wait. Our Odoo implementation team then plans configuration, data migration and training around that scope.

UAE Compliance

How Odoo Enterprise supports UAE compliance

Enterprise gives you more ready-made tools for UAE rules than Community. The configuration still needs review by your accountant, and tax treatments should be confirmed with your tax advisor.

VAT returns

The UAE accounting localization includes 5% standard, zero-rated and exempt taxes and a VAT report structured around return boxes, which helps when filing quarterly in EmaraTax.

Corporate tax

Analytic accounts, tags and multi-company reporting help separate qualifying and non-qualifying income for free zone entities and track the AED 375,000 threshold for the 0% band.

E-invoicing

Odoo has built Peppol support for other countries. For the UAE PINT AE model, check whether your version supports exchange through an Accredited Service Provider natively or needs a connector, and watch the 1 January 2027 and 1 July 2027 mandate dates. Check the latest Ministry of Finance and FTA guidance.

WPS and gratuity

The UAE payroll localization covers salary structures and end-of-service gratuity accruals under Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021. We test the SIF output with your bank or exchange house before the first live payroll.

UAE Compliance Built In

UAE regulations covered in every Odoo Enterprise UAE project

We configure the system for the rules UAE businesses report against, and test it before go-live.

FAQs

Odoo Enterprise UAE: frequently asked questions

Still have a question? Our consultants are happy to help.

Ask an Expert
Do we buy Odoo Enterprise from Odoo or from a partner?

Either route is possible. Buying through a partner such as us lets us manage the subscription alongside implementation and support, while the licence terms come from Odoo either way.

Is Odoo Enterprise priced in AED?

Odoo publishes prices by country and currency, and they change from time to time. We quote the current figures for your user count when we prepare a proposal.

What happens if we stop paying the subscription?

Your data remains yours and can be exported. Enterprise apps stop being supported and upgraded, and on Odoo Online access ends, so plan an exit or a move to Community before a renewal lapses.

Can we use custom modules on Odoo Online?

No. Odoo Online allows configuration and Studio changes but not custom Python code. If you need custom modules, choose Odoo.sh or on-premise hosting.

Does Enterprise include Arabic?

Yes. Arabic interface, right-to-left layout and bilingual report templates are available. Invoice layouts usually need a little design work to match your branding.

Are upgrades really included?

Odoo's upgrade service covers standard modules and data. Custom modules and Studio changes still need testing and sometimes rework, which is where partner support comes in.
